The
cutterbar should stay safe in rugged conditions on the new Vermeer
MC840 DiscPro mower conditioner. The DynaGuard Protection system
features a suspension arrangement combining linkage and heavy-duty
springs to allow the Vermeer MC840 to pull and lift the header over
rocks and other obstacles.
A Torsion-Flex Drive System helps absorb the shock of high impacts to a vertical shaft, which drives the cutterbar. On-the-go hydraulic adjustment means the cutterbar angle can be set from 0° to 10° from the tractor seat. No tools are required to adjust the swath board or crop-forming shields.
Intermeshing steel conditioner rollers have an exclusive fluted design with curved steel cleats mounted to the rollers. This design offers a wide range of conditioning positions to accommodate everything from gentle crimping to crushing for cane and sudan-type crops.
The MC840 cuts a clean 10-ft. 6-in. swath and transports at a width of 11 ft. 1 in. Recommended tractor requirements for the MC840 include a 75-hp tractor with 540 rpm, two auxiliary remotes, 6-gpm minimum flow and enclosed cab with rollover protection.
Price for the MC840 DiscPro mower tine conditioner is about $18,266. The conditioner featuring steel rollers costs $19,730. Contact Vermeer Mfg. Co., Dept. FIN, Box 200, Pella, IA 50219-0200, 641/621-7835, or visit www.vermeerag.com.
