Bolt cutter challenge

I had what was called a pelican mouth bolt cutter, which I lost, and I am looking for another one. I do quite a lot of fence fixing, and it was the best tool for cutting barbwire and No. 9 wire that I've had. It also fit into the pliers pocket of my overalls.

When United States Purchasing Exchange was in business, they had it. In the last letter that I had from them, they said it was back ordered because of the great demand for it.

Now I can't find anyone who even knows what I'm talking about.

In a country that has been able to put someone on the moon, there should be someone who can find what I'm looking for.

I'd appreciate your help.
George Gengenbach
Madrid, NE

We are beginning to think that putting a man on the moon was an easier task than trying to find a pelican mouth bolt cutter.

For example, when we did an Internet search for “pelican mouth bolt cutter,” the search engine tried to steer us to some interesting but unexpected sites, such as “Shakespeare — King Lear,” “The International Sound Effects Library,” and “David and Linda's Bike Odyssey.” (We think the word “pelican” is what threw it off target a bit.)

We are now out of ideas and asking for your help. If you know where to find the pelican mouth bolt cutter or what company manufactures it, please give us a call or send us a note, and we will pass the information on to Mr. Gengenbach.
