FORAGE HARVESTER

Sep 1, 2006 12:00 PM

CLAAS INTRODUCES the new Jaguar Green Eye forage harvester and RU 600 row-independent corn head. Designed to run at maximum torque while lowering fuel consumption, the harvester has a newly designed Tier 3 engine. The Jaguar 830 and 850 have a 6-cyl. engine, and an 8-cyl. engine is now available on the Jaguar 870, 890 and 900. Horsepower of the harvesters ranges from 345 to 623.

The new corn head, when attached to a Claas Jaguar, is adept at operating over uneven fields. The company says it engineered the corn head to allow farmers to effectively harvest their corn crop under the most adverse field conditions. It has a synchronized auger, and cutting height can be preselected to keep soil from collecting in the machine.

Prices of the Jaguar range from $208,224 to $309,974. The RU600 costs $79,870. Contact Claas of America Inc., Dept. FIN, 8401 S. 132nd St., Omaha, NE 68138, 402/861-1077, visit www.claas.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 192.
