GPS-guided irrigation

Nov 17, 2008 12:16 PM

Valmont Irrigation

New technology from Valmont Irrigation allows the precise application of water, fertilizer and crop inputs through the irrigation system based on GPS information. Under the Valley brand, the GPS Ready irrigation controls let growers program the equipment to apply water and inputs within the same field based on data that a GPS receiver collects and then sends to the control panel. The controls work for center-pivot and linear irrigation systems and are compatible with different GPS receivers.
