Polaris is beefing up its utility vehicle line with three models of its popular Ranger. The Ranger now comes in a 4 × 4 model and a 2 × 4 model in addition to the 6 × 6 model introduced earlier this year. A Fuji 499-cc, liquid-cooled engine powers the 4 × 4 vehicle. It reaches speeds of 35 to 38 mph with the Polaris variable transmission. The beefy Ranger will tow 1,500 lbs. and hold 1,000 lbs. in its cargo box. An 8-gal. fuel tank provides long-distance capability. This model retails for $8,799.

A new, totally enclosed cab will keep the cold winds from chilling you when you drive your Kawasaki utility vehicle this winter. Designed for Kawasaki Mules, the 3000 series cab features a tempered glass windshield with unobstructed view. Gas shocks assist in opening the windshield to reach the in-dash storage area. Use your utility-size tractors to move dirt with the new Hoelscher model 750 towable scraper. The scraper attaches to the 3-pt. hitch on 35- to 50-hp tractors and cuts a 60-in. swath.
