The European Union (EU) completed its approval of Monsanto's Roundup Ready (RR) corn hybrid event nk603 for processed products as food and food ingredients. This recent action completes the approval process first announced in July regarding the hybrid. At that time, the EU approved the RR hybrid for use in animal feed. Now it approved the hybrid for human consumption. This hybrid is currently marketed as RR Corn 2 in the U.S.
