PulseTech introduces solar charger for vehicles, equipment left outdoors in long-term storage

PulseTech Products Corporation introduces the SolarPulse SP-24-6, a military tested solar panel system to charge and maintain vehicles and equipment left outdoors in long-term storage.

The 24-Volt SolarPulse charges, maintains and de-sulfates all types of generators and vehicles with a 24-volt lead acid battery system including standard, AGM and gel types.

When mounted on a vehicle or equipment, the SP-24-6 is an automatic battery conditioning and charge or maintenance system. It combines PulseTech’s Pulse Technology with microprocessor-controlled, intelligent charging algorithms to charge, condition and maintain vehicle and equipment batteries, extending battery performance and useful life up to five times.

As a battery ages through use or sits unused for periods of time, lead sulfate crystals can enlarge and build up to the point where they create a physical barrier across the surface of the battery plates. This build-up can become so dense that a battery is no longer able to accept or release energy.

The SP-24-6 features a polyurethane encapsulated solar panel mounted on a solid aluminum back plate. The unit uses single-crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells.  The waterproof panel dimensions are 9 ft. x 11 in. x 0.125 in.

Pricing on the SP-24-6 is $325.00.

This is an incredible innovation from pulsetech but I think that they should study further about this step because I have been seeing a lot of car recalls list for hybrid cars and I don’t think that this technology can be effective if there are still problems occurring on electric cars

I think this solar charger is really useful especially for vehicles that get abandoned for quite sometime in our garage or other storage areas like a car showroom or display center. My husband needs to go overseas once every 2-3 months and his car gets neglected for a month or two. I usually need to help start the engine once in a while as he says the battery might not be able to work anymore if left inactive for long periods of time. http://ezestore.com.au

This is definitely a clever piece of invention. I’ll have to google some reviews for it, though my guess is that it will need more tweaks to get it to work right. Conceptually though, it could be easily be marketable. A lot of us leave our cars out in the open under the sun while we are in the office before driving home. It makes sense for it to be collecting energy when it is not put into use. I wonder if we can simply hook it up to any car, or will it require some changes to the auto parts?

Agree. Solar energy is our future. I hope one day all houses will be equipped with massive panels not to be electricity dependable to save some extra money and to care more about nature and environment.

Electric vehicles are a boon to the automobile industry. These electric vehicles are quite cheap in comparison to the other vehicles and but these vehicles have one problem and that is in there charging. But now Pulse Tech introduces a new solar charger which can be used without electric power by the help of solar energy. This will prove a boon for the electric vehicles. The above information is quite helpful.
