The job of moving, digging and leveling dirt should be much easier for farmers with the wide array of new implements showcased at the National Farm Machinery Show. The latest equipment includes a mini loader that costs less than a skid-steer loader, a grader attachment, a backhoe attachment, a ditcher and even a stand that moves and stores an auger.
Use your farm tractor to do your own digging with the new 95HD backhoe that attaches to a 3-pt. hitch. Available from Rhino, the backhoe features a 5,872-lb. digging force, 3,800 lbs. of dipper stick digging force, and a digging depth of 9½ ft. The bucket rotates 180°. Flip-over stabilizer pads are standard.
Mini track loader
Bobcat downsized its popular skid-steer loader to create its new MT52 mini track loader. This loader works when the job site is too small for a skid-steer loader but the job is too big for a wheel-barrow. The loader is 6 ft. long and 3 ft. wide and includes a rear platform for the operator. It features a 520-lb. rated operating capacity and a nearly 6-ft. lift height and is powered with an 18.8-hp, liquid-cooled Kubota engine. More than 18 attachments are available.
Hurricane Ditcher designed its new Swinger as an economical tool to dig surface draining ditches with a farm tractor. The Swinger attaches to a 3-pt. hitch and will operate on any tractor with 80 to 140 hp. An 8-in.-stroke cylinder hinges the machine from side to side. A 50° constant velocity joint is standard on each machine to accommodate the ditcher's swinging action.
The Swinger retails for $5,800. Contact Hurricane Ditcher Co., Dept. FIN, 2425 Cathlinette Rd., Vincennes, IN 47591, 812/886-9663, visit www.Hurricane-ditcher.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 202.
Cut down the ruts in your yard and the roads through your fields with the Hoelscher GR series, 3-pt.-hitch, pull-type grader. The new grader will attach to the 3-pt. hitch of a 35- to 50-hp tractor. The grader operates independently of the tractor and maintains consistent blade height regardless of tractor movement. Large tires provide stability. The heavy frame and moldboard provide easy penetration of hard and difficult soils.
Suggested retail price of the 8-ft. model (shown) is $3,650. Contact Hoelscher Inc., Dept. FIN, Box 195, Bushton, KS 67427, 620/562-3575, visit www.hoelscherinc.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 203.
Easy auger storage
Store your 3-pt.-hitch auger with the new auger cart from Danuser. The cart holds up to a 24-in.-dia. auger and will transport it to any storage spot. A parking brake keeps the cart safely in place.
To store the auger, you slowly lower it into an auger point holder on the cart, then attach four ratchet straps to the auger.
