Prevent anhydrous ammonia theft

Smith Flow Control has developed the NH3 Amo-Lock to provide a simple, fail-safe method of preventing the theft of anhydrous ammonia from nurse storage tanks. The NH3 Amo-Lock is designed to fit the tank's withdrawal valve. The operating key, a valve handwheel, can only be removed when the valve is fully closed, which improves safety.

Price: about $135. Contact Smith Flow Control (USA), 21 Kenton Lands Rd., Erlanger, KY 41018, 859/578-2395, visit www.ammo-lock.com or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 194.

Commercial-grade augers

Feterl Manufacturing Corporation introduces a new line of galvanized commercial-grade augers. The augers are available in 8- and 10-in. diameters, in lengths of 34 through 76 ft. Feterl augers are made with 12-gauge tube, and the flighting is rolled from 7-gauge or ¼-in. material. A hot-dip galvanizing method results in a greater level of protection after fabrication. A metallic bond occurs, resulting in a zinc coating that completely coats all surfaces, including edges and welds.

Prices range from $2,862 for the shorter augers to $7,302 for the longer ones. Contact Feterl Mfg. Corp., Box 398, Salem, SD 57058, 800/ 367-8660, visit www.feterl.com. or www.freeproductinfo.net/fin, or circle 193.
