Last week disappointing for field work

Last week was a disappointing week for field work. Monday and Saturday were the only days that it didn't rain. Our total for the week was 3.5 inches. The rains were widespread through Ohio.  Some soybeans in my county were ruined when the rivers flooded.  I've talked to friends and my county extension agent and also ran some errands, so I would say in NW Ohio only 60% of the soybeans are harvested and 6% of the corn. I'd say only half the wheat that people wanted to plant actually got in the ground. Since this week has more rain forecasted,  I am not sure if any more wheat will get planted. I keep busy with livestock work and I also keep working on little repair and maintenance jobs on equipment.
