This week Land O’Lakes Purina Feed and Gevo, Inc., the Englewood, CO-based advanced biofuels company, announced that the feed company will exclusively market distillers grains from Gevo’s isobutanol production facility in Luverne, Minn. The companies also announced that they will explore opportunities to upgrade the distillers grains for value-added applications in feed markets.

John Hany, director, direct ship merchandising and DDG marketing, Land O’Lakes Purina Feed, said that the partnership combines the technological expertise of Gevo and the research capabilities and customer networks of Land O’Lakes Purina Feed, which “presents another opportunity to add value to grain farmers and livestock producers alike.”

Gevo’s fermentation process converts corn starch into isobutanol while capturing 100 percent of the corn protein for animal nutrition. For more information, visit www.gevo.com and www.landolakesinc.com.

Biofuel is of course better than regular diesel or gasoline but with a huge development in EV things could have been better! How hard is it to build a tractor using a technology similar to the one used by Tesla Model S for example?
