Jennings receives ACE President's Award today

Brian Jennings, executive vice president, American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE), was honored today by ACE President Ron Alverson, for his advocacy work on behalf of the ethanol industry.

Brian Jennings, executive vice president, American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE), was honored by ACE President Ron Alverson and founding chairman of Lake Area Corn Processors/Dakota Ethanol, Wentworth, Sd, today at the ACE Ethanol Conference, Des Moines, IA. Growing up in central South Dakota, Jennings has been a staunch advocate of rural development and the ethanol industry, including his previous work as an advisor to Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD) Alverson said. Jennings was also honored by his staff at ACE.

Jennings said that the ethanol's most important people are not the lobbyists, but rather those in the room—the members of ACE who “have gone above and beyond” advocating for ethanol. He added that Chippewa Valley Ethanol Co., Benson, MN, for example, has sent more representatives to ACE's legislative fly-ins than any other company. He commended several ethanol producers for what they have done to support the ethanol industry. “Change doesn't come from Washington—it comes to Washington because of you and that inspires us [at ACE].”
