Biofuels DealFlow reports that billions were invested in new biofuels capacity or in early-stage biofuels companies this year. The new report lists 51 significant transactions that took place in 2011.
The private sector invested $3.8 billion in new biofuels capacity or in early-stage companies in 2011, according to Biofuels DealFlow, a new report produced by Biofuels Digest. The biofuels industry also saw nearly $7 billion in mergers and acquisitions.
The year’s biggest transaction was the $6.3-billion acquisition of Danisco by DuPont. But there were 51 other significant transactions in 2011. You can view a list of these transactions at www.biofuelsdigest.com.
