Utility tractor lifting

A new multipurpose lift from Ag Krane is now available for 25- to 60-hp tractors. The new EXB-060 combines forks with a telescopic lift arm. It is compatible with a Cat. I quick hitch and comes with greased pivot points. The standard wheel kit gives smaller tractors more stable lifting power. It lifts 1,500 lbs. to 8 ft. 10 in. It will move small pallets and round bales and will load and unload equipment.

Heat-tolerant phytase

Phytase that tolerates the thermal pelleting process may soon be available for hog feed in the U.S. This means pork producers will have another tool to improve hogs' absorption of phosphorus in the feed. Quantum Phytase by Zymetrics, a subsidiary of Syngenta, is currently undergoing regulatory review in the U.S. The product is available in a dry flowable form that is added at any phase of feed manufacturing, including prior to pelleting. New cattle insecticide

Elanco is entering the parasiticide market with a new insecticide called Elector. Elanco reports Elector is the first new insecticide class that has been introduced for cattle in 20 years. The new product kills flies and lice, including flies resistant to other insecticides. It can be used as a pour-on, animal spray and premise spray. Elector is available in 1- and 5-l bottles from local Elanco distributors, feed stores or veterinary clinics.
