Keep the lid on

Sep 1, 1999 12:00 PM, Livestock

By permanently attaching a housing lid to its new fuel filter, Baldwin Filters has made changing diesel fuel filters easier, cleaner and more efficient.

The new PF7678 -- now for 7.3 L Ford Powerstroke engines -- features a housing lid design that is attached right to the filter element. Its T-Seal ensures that the housing gasket is positioned during installation for a leakproof seal. During removal, the lid keeps all diesel fuel residue inside the filter element -- nothing spills onto your hands. The top of the lid has tabs for removal by hand and a 15/16 -in. hex head if a hand tool is needed for loosening. Also, if the fuel filter lid on the OEM engine becomes damaged or broken, replacement is unneccesary. Contact Baldwin Filters, Dept. FIN, Box 6010, Kearney, NE 68848, 800/822-5394, www.baldwinfilter.com.
