Bayer CropScience, Mertec LLC and M.S. Technologies announced plans to collaborate on the development of innovative traits in soybeans. The first products expected from the collaboration will be soybean varieties with tolerance to both glyphosate and HPPD inhibitors, a class of herbicides that include Bayer’s Balance Pro brand isoxaflutole. Other multi-trait combinations are expected to follow, intlucing a triple herbicide tolerant stack with LibertyLink.
