Yamaha pulls the wraps off its first six-passenger off-road utility vehicle

RSS

Yamaha Motor Corporation today unveiled a six-passenger off-road utility vehicle called the Viking VI. Farm Industry News got a preview of the Viking VI earlier this week as it was unwrapped prior to its dealer meeting outside of Austin, TX. We also got the chance to test drive the new vehicle, which was modeled after its three-person predecessor called the Viking. Yamaha engineers had to make some design changes to make a vehicle capable of carrying six passengers with the same ride comfort and handling as the Viking.

Expect a full report on those design changes next week. In the meantime, here’s a clip from the actual preview showing as Yamaha’s product line manager Travis Hollins explains.
