Updated engine, transmission

A liquid-cooled, 271cc engine powers the Brute Force 300. Its transmission is a CVT (continuously variable transmission), making it the only machine in its class with this feature.

Hydraulically activated triple disc brakes, special Maxxis tires and engine braking help the vehicle handle steep hills.
Mine tour

A highlight of the ATV drive was the abandoned limestone mine located on the property. Guides led riders into the mine on an ATV tour.

Tucked deep into the Pennsylvania hills, the mine offers more than 15 acres of space for ATV riding...in complete darkness. Photographer Adam Campbell set up lights to catch the ATV action.

The woods and hills of the Mines and Meadows location were beautiful. Trails even included log bridges.

Kawasaki is gearing this smaller ATV model to the farm and ranch market, as well as to the novice rider. Its $4,199 price makes it ideal for farms needing multiple units.

Kawasaki introduced its new Brute Force 300 ATV to members of the media by hosting a ride in the Pennsylvania woods north of Pittsburgh. Riders, including Farm Industry News Editor Karen McMahon, tested the new ATV on the hills, in the water, and even through an old mine. It was a thumbs up for the 271cc model.
