Agrium Announces that it will purchase United Agri Products (UAP) to create the largest agricultural retailer in North America. The combined sales of the two companies will be almost $8 billion. Agrium will purchase the outstanding common stock of UAP for $39/share for a total transaction of $2.65 billion.
