AG EQUIPMENT EXPORTS GREW

U.S. manufacturers of agricultural equipment exported considerably more equipment the first half of 2005 than they did a year earlier. In fact, ag equipment exports were up 22% for the time period, amounting to $3.7 billion for the six months. The biggest buyer of U.S. ag equipment was Canada with $1.1 billion, up 21% from a year earlier. Australia was the second-largest buyer at $317 million, up 6%, and Mexico was third with $255 million, up 4%.
