Ag Company Boom

Agricultural Company stock performed well overall in the first half of 2007. AgriMarketing magazine reports the average stock value of ag companies increased 35% compared to the Dow Jones gain of 7.6%. Some of the highest agricultural performers were Terra Industries with a 295% gain, CNH with a 96% gain, and Mosaic at 86%. Other top performers included Potash Corporation at 69%, AGCO at 45%, Bayer at 43%, Agrium at 41%, Monsanto at 30%, Deere at 30%, FMC at 18% and Dow Chemical at 13%.
